Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • celery seed - 1/2 tsp
  • large white onion - 1 item
  • white vinegar - 1 c
  • mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric - 1 tsp
  • sliced cucumbers - 1 qt

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Mix seasoning and bring to boil. Add onion and cukes and boil 5 minutes. Put in jars and seal. Seal in 2 pints or 1 quart.
