Bread and butter pickles
Ingredients/Components
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
- tarragon vinegar - 1/2 c
- pickling spice - 1 Tbsp
- sugar 2 c
- big dill pickles - 1 qt
- garlic head - 1/2 item
- salt add a little, if desired - 1 item
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Drain and wash pickles. Slice crosswise. Pack in jar with garlic buds (cut in half) and put them between layers.To prepare syrup, bring sugar to boil. Put in vinegar and all spices. Boil enough to dissolve sugar. Pour over pickles and let stand about 5 days.
