Brandied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 Tbsp
- brandy - 1/3 c
- large cooked sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced - 6 item
How to make brandied sweet potatoes:
In shallow pan or baking dish, arrange sliced cooked potatoes. Mix all dry ingredients. Stir in water. Cook over low heat until clear, then add lemon juice and brandy. Pour over sweet potatoes and bake about 30 minutes at 375° until glazed. Baste occasionally. Yields about 8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Yam/sweet potato.
