Bran muffins
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- soda
- buttermilk - 2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1/2 c
- seedless raisins - 1 c
- 40% bran flakes - 1 c
- All-Bran - 2 c
How to make bran muffins:
Pour the boiling water over the raisins. Add the soda. Cool. Cream the shortening and sugar. Add the eggs and buttermilk. Fold into the flour, salt, nuts, All-Bran and bran flakes. Mix all only until moist. Store in covered bowl in refrigerator until ready to bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes in greased muffin tins.
