Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 5 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 qt
- boiling water - 2 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- well beaten eggs - 4 item
- Bran Buds - 6 c
How to make bran muffins:
Combine Bran Buds, water and sugar. Let stand for 1 hour, then add remaining ingredients. Fill pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. Batter keeps in refrigerator for 2 weeks. Raisins optional.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
