Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 5 c
- soda - 5 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 qt
- boiling water - 2 c
- shortening - 1 c
- All-Bran - 6 c
How to make bran muffins:
Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs one at a time. Pour in buttermilk. Mix together 2 cups All-Bran and boiling water; add to first mixture. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to mixture. Add 4 cups All-Bran and mix. Bake in greased muffin pans at 400° for 20 minutes. Will keep in refrigerator 1 month. Do not stir. Dip out.
