Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • granulated sugar
  • salt
  • soda
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • all-purpose flour
  • raisins - 3/4 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • Nabisco 100% Bran - 1 c

How to make bran muffins:

Pour 1 cup boiling water over the All-Bran and set aside.

Cream Crisco and sugar; add beaten egg, buttermilk and dry ingredients. Add All-Bran and raisins last. You can store in a gallon pickle jar tightly covered in refrigerator up to two months and bake as needed. Bake in muffin pans for 25 minutes at 400°.
