- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- water - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- ground black pepper - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- catsup or barbecue sauce - 1/4 c
- pea beans or great northern - 1 lb
- slices bacon, cut into 2 inch pieces, or salt pork - 5 item
How to make boston baked beans:
Place pea beans in slow cooker. Add water to 1 inch above beans; cover. Turn heat to High and cook for 3 hours. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover. Cook on Low 10 to 14 hours or until beans are tender.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Beans.
