Blueberry syrup
Ingredients/Components
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1 c
- fresh blueberries - 5 c
How to make blueberry syrup:
Combine the berries, sugar and water in a medium size saucepan over medium heat, bring to boil, stirring. Bring to gentle boil and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until berries pop and look shriveled, about 10 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat. Allow to cool. Ladle into jars. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 weeks. Can be canned as hot jelly.Recipe categories: Fruit, Blueberries, Berries.
