Blueberry syrup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- water - 2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- blueberries - 2 qt
- grated lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
How to make blueberry syrup:
Crush berries. Add 2 cups water and lemon peel. Simmer 5 minutes. Drain through cheesecloth or jelly bag. Squeeze to extract juice and pulp from berries. Mix sugar and 4 cups water. Boil to 260°. Add berry juice to sugar syrup. Boil 1 minute. Add lemon juice. Pour hot into hot jars.Recipe categories: Fruit, Blueberries, Berries.
