Blueberry dessert
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 2/3 c
- Cool Whip
- plain flour - 1 c
- light brown sugar - 1/4 c
- cornstarch or flour - 2 3
- fresh blueberries or may use canned pie filling instead of making your own - 2 c
How to make blueberry dessert:
Filling:1 pt. Cool Whip3/4 c. sugar8 oz. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla Topping:2/3 c. sugar2 to 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour2/3 c. water2 c. fresh blueberries or may use canned pie filling instead of making your own Melt margarine and combine with flour, nuts and brown sugar. Spray a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish with Pam and pat out dough mixture. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cool.Make filling as follows. Mix Cool Whip, 3/4 cup sugar, cream cheese and vanilla. Blend together well with mixer; spread on cooled crust.
Top with blueberry pie filling or make your own as follows: Combine 2/3 cup sugar, water and cornstarch. Cook over low heat until thick; cook 2 minutes longer. Add blueberries and return to boil for 2 to 3 more minutes. Cool slightly and spread over cream cheese filling.
