Blueberry buckle
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/4 c
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- vegetable shortening - 1/4 c
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- fresh blueberries
How to make blueberry buckle:
Mix 3/4 cups sugar, shortening, eggs and milk until well blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves; fold in berries. Spread batter in greased 9-inch square pan. Combine remaining ingredients and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle crumbs over batter. Bake at 375° about 45 minutes or until cake top springs back when lightly touched.
