- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- black walnuts - 1 c
- rum flavoring - 5 tsp
- half and half cream - 1 c
How to make black walnut pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each egg is added. Add flavorings; beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with cream. Lightly flour walnuts; fold into mixture. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 80 minutes in a 325° oven.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 4 hours.
