Ingredients/Components

- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water
- soda
- cocoa - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- soft shortening - 2/3 c
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy
How to make black midnight cake:
Grease and flour pans. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add everything, alternating with water and vanilla. Bake at 350°, 2 layers for 35 minutes or 9 x 13-inch for 40 to 45 minutes. Frost with White Mountain Frosting.White MountainRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Mixer.
