Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• water
• soda
• cocoa - 2/3 c
• baking powder - 1/4 tsp
• egg whites - 3 item
• light corn syrup - 1/4 c
• soft shortening - 2/3 c
• Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy

How to make black midnight cake:

Grease and flour pans. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add everything, alternating with water and vanilla. Bake at 350°, 2 layers for 35 minutes or 9 x 13-inch for 40 to 45 minutes. Frost with White Mountain Frosting.White Mountain
