Black-eyed pea casserole
Ingredients/Components
- grated cheese - 1/2 lb
- cooked rice - 2 c
- Worcestershire - 1 tsp
- ground meat, browned - 1 lb
- large onion, cooked - 1 item
- cans Trappley black-eyed peas with jalapeno pepper - 2 item
- Louisiana red hot - 1/4 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes or 2 cans Ro-Tel, chopped - 1 item
How to make black-eyed pea casserole:
Mix all ingredients together. Pour half of mixture in casserole dish, then put 1/2 of cheese on top. Pour remaining mixture on top; sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until real hot. The Ro-Tel with chilies can be chopped in blender.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
