Ingredients/Components

  • grated cheese - 1/2 lb
  • cooked rice - 2 c
  • Worcestershire - 1 tsp
  • ground meat, browned - 1 lb
  • large onion, cooked - 1 item
  • cans Trappley black-eyed peas with jalapeno pepper - 2 item
  • Louisiana red hot - 1/4 tsp
  • can stewed tomatoes or 2 cans Ro-Tel, chopped - 1 item

How to make black-eyed pea casserole:

Mix all ingredients together. Pour half of mixture in casserole dish, then put 1/2 of cheese on top. Pour remaining mixture on top; sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until real hot. The Ro-Tel with chilies can be chopped in blender.
