Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • pkg - 6 oz
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • water - 2 c
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • cream cheese, softened - 8 oz

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Blend cream cheese, egg, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and chocolate chips in small bowl and set aside. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well; mixture will be soupy. Fill paper lined muffin tins no more than 1/2 full with chocolate mixture. Place 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture in center of chocolate mixture. Sprinkle a little sugar on top of each. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
