  • vanilla - 1 tsp

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • unsweetened cocoa - 1/4 c
  • chopped almonds - 1 item

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Cupcakes:1 1/2 c. flour1/3 c. vegetable oil1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa1 Tbsp. vinegar1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla1 c. sugar1 tsp. baking soda1 egg1 c. water Filling:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1/3 c. sugar1 egg1/8 tsp. salt1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Filling: Combine cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt in small bowl. Blend until smooth. Stir in chips and set aside.

Cupcakes: Sift together flour, cocoa, salt, sugar and soda. Add egg, water, vinegar, oil and vanilla and beat until well blended. Fill paper lined muffin pan 1/2 full with chocolate batter. Drop heaping teaspoon of filling in center of batter in each cupcake. Sprinkle with sugar and almonds (optional). Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Test for doneness by pressing lightly with finger. Refrigerate leftovers.
