- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
- scalded milk - 2 c
How to make biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in water and sugar; set aside for 10 minutes. Mix sugar, shortening and salt with scalded milk; cool to lukewarm. Combine yeast and milk mixture; add flour and mix well. Drop by spoonful onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 300° until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, High calcium.
