Ingredients/Components

  • cup lard - 1/5 item
  • cup sugar - 3/4 item
  • eggs - 2 item
  • tsp anise - 1 item
  • cup sifted flour may add more if dough is sticky - 4 item
  • tsp baking powder - 3 item
  • cup wine - 1/2 item
  • Vanilla your taste - 1 item

How to make biscochitos:

Cream lard and sugar, add eggs, add sifted flour, baking powder, wine, anise, and vanilla. Flour counter or cutting board before rolling out 1/4 inch thick; cut and dip into sugar blended with cinnamon mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet; bake at 350° until golden brown.
