Best ever lemon pie



  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 6 Tbsp
  • cold water - 2 Tbsp
  • boiling water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 2 tsp
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • hot water - 2 c
  • lemon juice - 1/3 c
  • lemon extract
  • beaten egg yolks - 3 item

How to make best ever lemon pie:

Meringue:1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch2 Tbsp. cold water1/2 c. boiling water6 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt (1/8 tsp.)3 egg whites Filling: Mix together sugar, cornstarch, beaten egg yolks and lemon juice. Add gradually to hot water. Cook until thick (watch carefully). Add lemon extract, vinegar and butter. Stir well; pour into baked crust.

Meringue: Mix cornstarch and cold water; add to boiling water. Cook until clear and cool well. (Note: You may want to start this and let cool while making the filling.) Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add sugar, vanilla and salt. Gradually add cornstarch mix. Beat again. Spread on filling and bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
