Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 2
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- unsifted all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- unsweetened cocoa - 1/3 c
- light corn syrup or honey - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil or melted butter - 1/2 c
- Add eggs; using a spoon, beat well
How to make best brownies:
Blend oil or melted butter, sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Add eggs; using a spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Cool; frost with Creamy Brownie Frosting. Cut into squares. Yields about 16 brownies.Creamy Brownie Frosting:3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa1 Tbsp. light corn syrup or honey1/2 tsp. vanilla1 c. confectioners sugar1 to 2 Tbsp. milk Cream butter or margarine, cocoa, corn syrup or honey and vanilla in small mixer bowl.
