Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 1
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- cream cheese, softened - 1 pkg
- sugar for topping - 1 item
- pie shell - 1 item
- fresh berries more if needed - 5 5
How to make berry pie:
Bake pie shell. Mash enough berries to measure 1 cup. Stir together sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water and crushed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Boil and stir 1 minute. Cool.Beat cream cheese until smooth. Spread on bottom of pie shell. Fill shell with remaining berries. Pour cooked berry mixture over top. Chill at least 3 hours until set.
