Beer cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- melted butter - 1 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
- onion - 1/2 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- carrots, sliced - 1 c
- beer - 1 c
- chicken broth or 5 10 1/2 oz - 2 qt
How to make beer cheese soup:
Boil broth, celery, carrots and onion until tender. Mix together flour and melted butter. Stir into broth and cook until thick. Add beer, cheese, salt and pepper. Simmer and stir until cheese has melted. Serve with croutons.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Cheese, Soups & stews.
