Beefy spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chili powder - 1/2 1
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- ground beef - 1 lb
- tomato paste - 2 Tbsp
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- dried basil - 1/4 tsp
- dried thyme - 1/2 tsp
- French bread - 1 item
- uncooked long grain rice - 1 c
How to make beefy spanish rice:
In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic until the meat is browned; drain. Stir in the next eight ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender. Stir in tomato paste and heat through. Serve with French bread.
