Beef with oyster sauce
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- peanut oil - 1 Tbsp
- oyster sauce - 1/4 c
- crushed red pepper flakes - 1/4 1/2
- hot cooked white rice - 1 item
- sesame seed for garnish - 1 tsp
- boneless tenderloin steak, cut 1-inch thick - 1 lb
- thin green onions, cut diagonally into 1-inch pieces - 3 item
How to make beef with oyster sauce:
Combine soy sauce, garlic and crushed red pepper in medium bowl. Cut beef across grain into 1/4-inch slices; cut each slice into 2-inch pieces. Toss beef with soy sauce mixture. Marinate at room temperature 20 minutes or cover and refrigerate up to 8 hours. Blend broth and oyster sauce into cornstarch in cup until smooth. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil; heat until hot. Add 1/2 of beef mixture; stir-fry until beef is barely pink in center. Remove and reserve. Repeat with remaining beef mixture; remove and reserve.Stir broth mixture and add to skillet along with onions. Stir-fry 1 minute or until sauce boils and thickens. Return beef along with any accumulated juices to skillet, heat through. Garnish with sesame seed. Serve over hot cooked rice. Serves 4.
