Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • ginger - 3/4 1
  • soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • garlic clove, minced - 1 item
  • Minute rice - 1 1
  • large onion, sliced - 1 item
  • bouillon - 2 c
  • cooking sherry - 2 Tbsp
  • green and red pepper strips - 1 c
  • beef chuck strips or lean hamburger - 1 lb
  • touch of brown sugar - 1 item

How to make beef teriyaki:

Brown beef with onion and garlic in oil. Add ginger, pepper strips, bouillon, soy sauce, sherry and brown sugar (if desired). Bring to a full boil. Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Stir before serving. Makes 4 servings.
