Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- water - 3/4 c
- dairy sour cream - 1/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- catsup - 1 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- instant beef bouillon granules - 1 tsp
- hot cooked noodles - 1 item
- boneless beef sirloin steak - 1/2 lb
- sliced fresh mushrooms or 1 2 1/2 oz - 1/2 c
How to make beef stroganoff:
Slice the beef across the grain into bite-size strips. Cook the beef in a large skillet over high heat in 1 tablespoon of the hot cooking oil about 1 to 2 minutes or to desired doneness of meat. Remove meat from the skillet. Add remaining oil, mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in the water, catsup, instant bouillon granules and pepper. Combine the flour and sour cream and add to the mixture in the skillet. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Return meat to skillet. Heat through. Serve over noodles.
