Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • tomato paste - 1 Tbsp
  • sliced mushrooms - 2 c
  • instant beef bouillon granules - 1 tsp
  • fettuccine - 6 oz
  • chopped parsley optional - 1 Tbsp
  • boneless beef sirloin steak 1/2 inch thick - 12 oz

How to make beef stroganoff:

Trim fat from beef and cut across grain into bite size strips. In small bowl, stir together sour cream, flour and tomato paste. Stir in water, bouillon and pepper. Set aside. Cook fettuccine according to package.

"Pam" a large skillet; heat to medium. Add beef. Stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or to desired doneness. Remove beef from skillet. Add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes until onion is tender. Add sour cream mixture to skillet. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Return beef and stir 2 more minutes. Serve over fettuccine. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
