Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- hot cooked noodles - 3 4
- stew beef - 1 lb
- four - 3 Tbsp
How to make beef stroganoff:
Cut beef into bite size pieces. Flour and brown beef in hot oil a few pieces at a time. When all beef is browned, return beef to large Dutch oven or pan. Add onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour in 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes. To make additional gravy, make a paste of 2 tablespoons flour and water. Add 3/4 cup milk to paste. Stir and pour over beef, uncover and cook to desired consistency. Serve over hot noodles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
