Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • dried thyme, crushed - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • sliced celery
  • carrots, sliced
  • medium potatoes, cubed - 2 item
  • instant beef bouillon - 1 tsp
  • V-8 juice - 3 c
  • few dashes hot sauce - 1 item
  • stew beef, cubed

How to make beef stew:

Coat meat with flour and 1 teaspoon salt. Brown meat in hot oil. Add onions, garlic and thyme. Stir in V-8 juice, bouillon, hot sauce and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil. Simmer 1 1/4 hours or until meat is tender. Add vegetables and simmer for 30 minutes more.
