Beef jerky
Ingredients/Components
- flank steak - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- sodium m - 1 tsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
How to make beef jerky:
Cut steak into thin strips approximately 2 inches long and no wider than 1/4 inch. (Be sure to cut with grain of steak.) Mix all ingredients together until well mixed. Coat steaks with mixture thoroughly and let stand for one hour. Preheat oven to 450°. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place steaks on lined cookie sheet. Be sure to space each steak. Bake at 450° for 25 minutes. Turn oven off then let sit in oven 20 minutes more. Ready to eat or refrigerate.In memory of Jack M. Steiner
