Ingredients/Components

  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
  • soy sauce - 1/4 c
  • seasoned salt - 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Accent - 1 tsp
  • onion powder - 1 tsp
  • liquid smoke - 2 Tbsp
  • steak flank or brisket

How to make beef jerky:

Trim off fat; slice meat with grain and thin. Place meat in shallow pan. Combine other ingredients and pour over meat. Marinate overnight. Preheat oven to 125°. Lay strips on oven rack in single layer; put foil on bottom of oven to catch drippings. Leave oven door open a crack. Test occasionally. Bake 8 to 12 hours, until chewy.
