Ingredients/Components
- brisket - 5 6
- tomato juice - 1 c
- celery salt - 1 tsp
- onion salt - 1 tsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- catsup - 1 c
- Karo syrup - 1 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- barbecue sauce - 1 c
How to make beef brisket:
Place brisket in a 9 x 13-inch glass or ceramic baking dish. Combine tomato juice, celery, onion and garlic salts. Pour over meat. Cover or place in a large plastic bag. Refrigerate overnight.Before cooking, add salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Smoke 3 to 4 hours. Combine remaining ingredients and baste. Smoke for an additional hour. Serve excess sauce with meat. Serves 8 to 10.
