Beef and macaroni
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef - 2 lb
- tomato sauce - 3 cans
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- macaroni - 1 lb
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- tomatoes - 1 qt
- chili powder optional - 2 Tbsp
- large bell pepper, diced - 2 item
- cumin or oregano - 1 tsp
How to make beef and macaroni:
Brown hamburger; break up and drain. Saute onions and peppers until tender and add to meat. Add all spices and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Add tomato sauce and tomatoes; simmer about 30 minutes in a stainless steel pan, stirring often. Cook macaroni and drain. Mix macaroni with meat sauce. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch or larger casserole pan. Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
