Bean soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 6 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- slices bacon - 4 item
- small green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- soup beans - 1 lb
- fined chopped carrots - 1/2 c
How to make bean soup:
Cover beans with water. Add first 4 ingredients. Cook bacon until crisp, remove bacon; reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Add onions and green pepper to drippings. Saute until tender. Add onion, green pepper and carrots to beans. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add tomato sauce. Cover and simmer an additional 30 minutes or until tender.
