Bean soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- cold water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- parsley - 1/8 tsp
- diced celery - 3/4 c
- diced carrots - 1/3 c
- can tomatoes - 16 oz
- diced potatoes - 1 c
- diced onions - 3/4 c
- garlic powder, to taste - 1 item
- black pepper, to taste - 1 item
- bacon pieces - 1/4 lb
- bag pea beans - 1 item
How to make bean soup:
Add pea beans into large kettle. Add 1 gallon water and bring to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon baking soda and bring to boil. Drain and rinse with water. Put beans into large kettle and add bacon, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, pepper and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender. Add cornstarch and flour to water. Mix until smooth.
