Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can green beans - 16 oz
  • white vinegar - 1/2 c
  • can kidney beans - 16 oz
  • can wax beans - 16 oz
  • green mango, cut in strips - 1 item

How to make bean salad:

In a saucepan, bring sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to a boil. Cook until sugar dissolves. Cool, then pour over beans that have been rinsed and drained. Refrigerate overnight.

Note: If desired, you may also add a can of lima beans and Great Northern beans. Be sure to increase dressing ingredients, if other beans are added.
