Bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can green beans - 16 oz
- white vinegar - 1/2 c
- can kidney beans - 16 oz
- can wax beans - 16 oz
- green mango, cut in strips - 1 item
How to make bean salad:
In a saucepan, bring sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper to a boil. Cook until sugar dissolves. Cool, then pour over beans that have been rinsed and drained. Refrigerate overnight.Note: If desired, you may also add a can of lima beans and Great Northern beans. Be sure to increase dressing ingredients, if other beans are added.
