  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1/4 c
  • cans chicken broth - 2 oz
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • bacon drippings - 1 item
  • cans Great Northern beans - 3 oz
  • cans whole tomatoes - 1 oz
  • to 8 slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled - 6 item

How to make bean and bacon soup:

Saute onion, green pepper and celery in drippings until onion begins to color. Add canned vegetables and bacon. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
