Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- cans chicken broth - 2 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- bacon drippings - 1 item
- cans Great Northern beans - 3 oz
- cans whole tomatoes - 1 oz
- to 8 slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled - 6 item
How to make bean and bacon soup:
Saute onion, green pepper and celery in drippings until onion begins to color. Add canned vegetables and bacon. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: American, Soups & stews, North american.
