  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • lemon juice - 1/4 c
  • salad oil - 3/4 c
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • minced chives - 1/4 c
  • minced basil - 1/4 c

How to make basil salad dressing:

Combine dressing ingredients in a jar. Shake to blend; chill. Serve over tossed salad. Garnish salad with parsley. Serves 20.
