Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cloves garlic - 3 item
  • olive oil - 2/3 c
  • cup fresh parsley - 1/2 item
  • cups fresh basil, firmly packed - 2 item
  • cup pine nuts or walnuts - 1/2 item
  • cup parmesan cheese, grated - 3/4 item

How to make basil pesto:

Put everything except oil in food processor. Pour oil in the feeder hole while pulsing until the oil is all incorporated. Wonderful spread on toasted bread, crusty bread or warm pasta.
