Basic yeast dough
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- dry yeast - 1 or
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- lukewarm milk - 1 c
How to make basic yeast dough:
Stir yeast into milk. Blend in 1/2 cup flour. Set aside in warm place about an hour until bubbly. Cream together butter, sugar and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add yeast mixture alternating with the flour to egg mixture. Knead dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, then roll out for dinner rolls, cinnamon, etc. Makes good an pan!!Recipe categories: Breads, Healthy, Yeast breads.
