Basic yeast dough
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 3 to
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- water - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- RapidRise yeast - 1 pkg
How to make basic yeast dough:
Combine 2 cups flour, sugar and yeast in large bowl. Heat water, milk and margarine until warm and margarine is melted. Add to flour mixture. Mix well. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well . Add rest of flour and mix well. Knead 5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl. Cover. Let rise until double. Punch down and shape into desired shapes. Cover. Let rise until double. Bake at 350° in well-greased pans. Can be used for bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls, etc.Recipe categories: Breads, Healthy, Yeast breads.
