Basic white sauce
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- butter or oleo - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch* - 2 4
How to make basic white sauce:
In a saucepan combine cornstarch and milk. Add salt and butter. Stir constantly until slightly thick. Remove from heat and continue to stir as it will cook a little more.*Two tablespoons for thin sauce; 3 tablespoons for medium sauce; 4 tablespoons for thick sauce.
