Barbecued spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- boiling water - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- ketchup - 2/3 c
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- apricot preserves - 1/3 c
- cloves chopped garlic - 2 item
How to make barbecued spareribs:
In a 6-quart saucepot, cook spareribs in boiling water and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cover until tender, about 30 minutes. In a small skillet, saute onion and garlic in oil until golden, about 5 minutes. Stir in ketchup, preserves, chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Heat to boiling. Drain ribs and brush with sauce. Cook ribs on outside grill or under inside broiler, brushing again with more sauce, until shiny and browned, 5 to 7 minutes on each side.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Meat, Pork.
