Barbecued spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- paprika - 2 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 4 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1/4 tsp
- ketchup - 1/2 c
- tomato juice - 2 c
- country-style ribs - 1 item
How to make barbecued spareribs:
While ribs are browning, simmer remaining ingredients for 15 minutes. Buy country-style ribs. Put ribs in shallow pan; do not cover. Sprinkle 3/4 cup onions over ribs. Bake at 450° for 30 minutes, then pour sauce over ribs. Bake at 350° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Baste every 15 minutes. Add hot water if sauce is too thick.
