Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 2 tsp
  • ketchup
  • ground beef - 3 lb
  • can evaporated milk - 1 oz
  • cracker crumbs - 1 c
  • liquid smoke - 1/2 tsp

How to make barbecued meatballs:

Sauce:2 c. ketchup1 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. liquid smoke1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 c. chopped onion To make meatballs, combine all ingredients (mixture will be soft) and shape into walnut sized balls. Place meatballs in a single layer on wax paper-lined cookie sheets. Freeze until solid.

To make sauce, combine all ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Place frozen meatballs in a 12 x 9 x 2-inch pan; pour on the sauce and bake for 1 hour at 350°. Yields 80 meatballs.
