Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chili powder - 2 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • ground beef - 3 lb
  • cracker crumbs - 1 c
  • liquid smoke or to taste - 1/2 tsp
  • evaporated milk 12 oz - 1 c
  • I shape into walnut size balls

How to make barbecued meatballs:

Make meatballs; combine all ingredients (mixture will be soft). I shape into walnut size balls. Place on waxed paper and freeze. Store in freezer until ready to use.Sauce:2 c. catsup1 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. liquid smoke or to taste1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 c. chopped onion To make sauce: Combine all ingredients; stir until sugar is dissolved. Place frozen meatballs in a 9 x 13-inch pan; pour on sauce. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Yields 80 meatballs.
