Barbecued meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 3 lb
- evaporated milk - 1 can
- oatmeal - 1 c
- cracker crumbs - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- catsup
- brown sugar - 1 c
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- liquid smoke - 1/2 tsp
How to make barbecued meatballs:
Sauce:2 c. catsup1 c. brown sugar1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/4 c. chopped onions1/2 tsp. liquid smoke To make meatballs, combine all ingredients (mixture will be soft) and shape into walnut-sized balls. Place meatballs in a single layer on wax paper-lined cookie sheets; freeze until solid. Store frozen meatballs in freezer bags until ready to cook.To make sauce, combine all ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Place frozen meatballs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; pour on the sauce. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Yields 80 meatballs.
