Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • lemon juice - 1/4 c
  • salad oil - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • catsup - 1 c
  • prepared mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • frankfurters, cut in half - 1 lb

How to make barbecued franks:

Brown onion in oil. Add remaining ingredients except franks. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add franks and simmer 15 minutes.
