Barbecued chicken
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- prepared mustard - 1/2 tsp
- fat - 2 Tbsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- fryer, cut up - 1 item
- tomato catsup - 1 c
- Worcestershire - 3 Tbsp
- dash of red pepper - 1 item
- flour to coat chicken - 1 item
How to make barbecued chicken:
Brown flour-coated chicken in fat in a skillet. Place browned chicken in a casserole or baking dish. Brown the onion lightly in the fat in the skillet. Add rest of ingredients to the onion in the skillet and simmer 30 minutes. Pour sauce over browned chicken in casserole.
